Our e-shop Wayfarer, ran by X-Trader.cz, s. r. o., VAT ID: CZ 278 55 660, based in Havířov, Czech Republic, registered in the Commercial Register of the Regional Court in Ostrava, Section C, Insert 31830 (further referred to as "Administrator") clearly and openly states the policy to which your personal data are being processed, in accordance to the EUROPEAN PARLIAMENT AND COUNCIL DIRECTIVE (EU) 2016/679 on protection of individuals with regard to the processing of personal data and on free movement of such data and repealing Directive 95/46 / EC, the General Regulation on the protection of personal data (further referred to as „GDPR“).

We respect your right to privacy. In order to provide as much transparency as possible, these rules provide thorough infomation on how we process your data, to what purpose, for how long, who do we give it to, what are your rights and much more.

Protecting your personal data is our utmost priority in everything we do.

Your trust is extremely important for us. We respect your control over your personal data and digital content and our priority is to prevent any unauthorized access to it. Whenever we ask you for your information, it's only because we need them, we do not ask anything more. 

What sort of personal data do we require of you?

We gather your personal data you provide whenever you order something, contact us or rate our products or your experience. Personal data you provide contain both compulsory ones: contact information and payment method, as well as the voluntary ones. You cannot make a purchase without providing requested compulsory data. You can opt in to providing additional voluntary data where your approval is requested, e.g. while registering, subscribing to our newsletter, assistance, discussion, review, etc. in a specified extent.

How to we handle your personal data?

We need your data for purposes such as the ones listed below but not limited to them:

  • Creating and maintaing your personal account (registration)
  • Processing your orders, delivering goods, handling returns or claims
  • Sending you current updates about your order status through e-mail and text messages
  • Contacting you in cases of any issues with goods delivery
  • Answering your questions and keeping you up to date with new and/or modified services
  • Sending you commercial notifiactions about current deals and discounts (newsletter)
  • Maintaining your account and your payment morale
  • Analysing your interests to be able to offer you relevant products
  • Sending you satisfaction questionnaires and allowing you to have an influence on our stock and offers
  • Testing and improving our systems, through which we offer our services
  • Preventing service misuse

Your personal data will be stored for the time necessary, especially for purposes listed below:

  • regardless of whether you shop logged in or not, your data will be stored for 15 years. Every time you make a new order, the data storage time gets reset
  • your data will also be stored for 5 years after rating the product or shopping experience
  • your data provided through contact form, chat, products inquiry etc. will be stored for one year when you don't order in order to send you commercial messages
  • or for the statutory time (a period of 11 years, as listed on tax receipt, fullfillment of the legal obligation under Act No. 235/2004 Coll., on Value Added Tax, as amended).

After such period, your data will be permanently erased, provided you don't agree with prolonging your personal data processing.

We're here to protect you

We're always trying to improve our services. We took the technical and organising measures to prevent your personal data from loss, manipulation and unauthorized access. Our security measures are always kept up to date with technological advancement and development. Currently, we're working on making card payments available and in order to make such payment as secure as possible, all data will be encrypted using the SSL protocol. This means the information goes through a secure connection and no third party is able to read your credit/debit card data. We cooperate with an authorised provider that allows us to verify with your bank that your card is eligible for online payments. We only do so with our own services and by sharing the data with you. The data stored is kept exclusively in the European Union territory.

You decide how much you want to share

In order to provide even better services and relevant messages, we gather information or how our applications are used. This means when you use our website, we track which services are used the most and which might be faulty. However, if you do not agree with such actions, you can switch to anonymous mode on your browser or disable cookies.

We only select providers we can trust

We never provide, sell or trade your data with any third parties for trading purposes.

What are your rights?

You have the right to request information on what data we store (free of charge once a year). If such data is incomplete or incorrect, you can ask for them to be updated or deleted. We are however unable to erase your data if legal obligations prevent us from doing so, e.g. accounting legislation or any other justifiable reasons, such as unpaid debts. You have the right to revoke your consent to the processing of personal data (GDPR Article 7, Paragraph 3), the right to access your personal data (GDPR Article 15), the right to modify it (GDPR Article 16) or to have it erased (GDPR Article 17), the right to restrict processing (GDPR Article 18) or raise an objection to processing (GDPR Article 21), the right to transfer the data to another administrator (GDPR Article 20), as well as the right to file a complaint with Office for Personal Data Protection, if you feel like our company violates the GDPR regulations on personal data processing (GDPR Article 77).
